Summary In 2021, the ASIS&T (Association for Information Science & Technology) special interest group (SIG) on AI was established. The group provides a platform for discussing the development and design, research, and application of AI in information science and technology. There are many focuses of this SIG, including AI ethics, equity, and fairness, AI literacies, responsible and trustworthy AI, and human-centered AI.
