| Summary | InterPARES Trust AI is a multi-national multi-stakeholder interdisciplinary project established in 2021. The project is anticipated to culminate in 2026 with the delivery of reports outlining guidelines for academia, archival institutions, government records professionals, and industry on AI best practices. The work of InterPARES Trust AI is guided by four principles: 1) identify uses cases for AI and archives, 2) document benefits and risks for AI applications in archives, 3) advocate for the inclusion of archival best practices is AI model development and 4) validate the previously stated objectives through the development of practical use cases.
