CAN is a nonprofit research center operating under the National Science Foundation’s auspices. The center provides industry members with exclusive access to world-renowned university scientists and state-of-the-art laboratories. Faculty researchers work with industry members and teams of graduate students and PostDocs to advance precompetitive research important to the members.
Research Thrust Areas
The Concrete Advancement Network (CAN) center conducts research focused on reducing the carbon footprint, enhancing the strength and durability of concrete, and examining materials and policies that drive the concrete industry. Leading research teams at UW-Milwaukee and Oregon State University, the center’s world-renowned faculty spearhead breakthroughs that enable member companies to develop innovative products and gain competitive advantages.
