Osama Selim, M.Sc


Osama Selim is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His passion for energy management relating to complex energy systems, leads to his fascination with the complexities and challenges associated with energy management. Renewable energy is a big part of his research.  He is working as a research assistant in Industrial Assessment Center of UWM for energy and waste management. Furthermore, his PhD thesis is concentrated in alternative fuels derived from Biomass Sources, besides his research on how to increase the lifespan of gas turbines blades. Mr. Selim obtained a distinguished with honor at his Bachelor and master’s degree from Cairo University (Egypt) which nominated him to be a Lecturer Assistant. His current research interests are: 1) Gasification of Biomass Species 2) Energy Auditing and 3) Thermofluids.
