David Pacifico, PhD

Assistant Professor of Art History and Director of the Emile H. Mathis Art Gallery and UWM Art Collection

David has worked in Peru since 2001 conducting archaeological research on the ancient Casma Polity in addition to researching the meaning and impact of archaeology to modern communities. His methodological specialties are mapping and geospatial analysis, architectural analysis, and ceramics. David completed undergraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania and graduate training at the University of Chicago.

Monica Suarez Ubillus, Licenciada.

Visiting Scholar, UWM Department of Art History

Monica has been a professional archaeologist in Peru for more than 15 years. Her research specialties include iconographic analysis, heritage and conservation work, and early complex societies. She has directed research for many years at the monumental site of Cerro Sechin.
