Short Bio:
Dedicated and highly motivated Research Scientist with a proven track record of conducting innovative research in rehabilitation technologies and biomechanics. Seeking to leverage my extensive experience in multidisciplinary research, quantitative analysis, and data-driven decision-making to contribute to practical solutions that improve people’s lives and advance global healthcare outcomes. I enjoy conducting research, lab coordinating, connecting, project management, mentoring, and coaching.
My research focuses on the development and utilization of technologies that can assess or assist human movement. I developed an intention detection algorithm using wearable sensory system to control ankle prostheses for transfemoral amputees, designed interpersonal virtual environments to promote exercise for arm rehabilitation after stroke and worked with different trunk exoskeletons and exosuits for back support and pain management. My current work includes assessing and developing technologies to support people with limited mobility using a manual wheelchair. I lead multiple research projects, collaborate with local nonprofit organizations, and mentor a diverse group of graduate and undergraduate students.
