BMD 2019, University of Padova, Italy

The bike lab had a great showing at the 2019 Bicycle and Motorcycle Dynamics Symposium at the University of Padova in Italy. We presented two papers:

  1. Characterization and Modelling of Various Sized Mountain Bike Tires and the Effect of Tire Tread Knobs and Inflation Pressure, with James Sadauckas of Harley-Davidson Motor Co.
  2. A Narrow-Track Tilting Tricycle with Variable Stability that the Rider can Control Manually, with Anthony Pierson, Alissa Shortreed, and Philip Van Asten, all students at UWM. More information about the tricycle can be found here.

Both appear to have been well received.
